Can CBD Oil Help With Depression?
The American Psychiatric Association, has stated that depression touches 1 out of 15 Americans. When I look at my own personal circle of friends and associates I see this is totally true.
It is a horrendous, debilitating disease. I see it up front and personal, in one of my very best friends. It is crippling.
More and more people are experiencing that CBD oil gives relief. CBD helps bear some of this burden. It is NOT a cure, but, studies show us that CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system in our body. And this interaction helps to regulate such functions like sleep, mood, and pain (this is not the whole list).
WHAT DOES DEPRESSION LOOK LIKE? WHAT DOES IT DO?
Depression will make you feel sad, it will rip away any interest you had in life, it will not allow you to have fun, to feel joy, to feel confidence. Depression doesn’t want you to sleep, it will zap you of your energy, your joy. It will make you feel worthless. And, because of all of the above, the only way to get relief is often to crawl into bed, and stay there. And, sometimes even worse. I know because I watch it. I see the daily, sometimes hourly struggle. I know those who have ended their depression, young people, friends, who can no longer cope.
CBD and Depression
Two of the neurotransmitters affected during depression are serotonin and dopamine. Research shows us that some depressed people may have reduced serotonin and dopamine transmission. And, this is where CBD may come to the rescue.
CBD AND DEPRESSION
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the 60+ naturally occurring compounds found in all cannabis plants.
CBD (without the THC, there is no high) has the unique ability to directly interact serotonin and dopamine receptors. There are many studies, research projects that support this.
